Ive just booked this hotel only to find bad write ups!!! can anyone reassure me that it HAS been renovated?

We stayed in October 2003 and found the hotel to be allright.Its not top of the range type but the Choiseul hotel wasnt too bad,I would give it 3.5 out of 5 and yes I would stay again.A long walk to the beach though.

If you are not into trains, you%26#39;d better know that Ave de Thiers is the street of the railway station and a good 15 minutes walk to the promenade des Anglais (and the sea). But you are 3 minutes away from the shopping area....

I%26#39;d be interested to see what you thought after your stay as I did the same thing and booked a room there for June then saw the bad reviews!! Stayed at Hotel Medicis last year which was very good value for money.

As I said in my previous message we stayed at Hotel Medicis which was on the next road up from the Choiseul. Admittedly it%26#39;s not the best area of Nice, but it didn%26#39;t take us that long to walk down to the Promenade and the Old Town and it is very handy being close to the station because this year we want to take ourselves off to Cannes and maybe San Remo or St Tropez. We are also going in 3 weeks time, so hopefully the weather will be great and for what we paid for our stay we are not expecting anything too luxurious, just hope the beds are comfy and it is clean. Hope you have a great stay.

Thanks for responding. We are there for three nights and are booked as part of a package with no changes. I feel the same way as I think we got good value, and we are determined to make the best of our stay. Just want it to be safe, clean, etc. Have a wonderful trip.
