If you plug your travel dates into the Trip Planner link on this site it will give you detailed info about the average temps etc. Also it gives you a detailed day-by-day look at the weather on those dates for the last few years:

I spend late October in Nice every year. It is usually around 70F with plenty of sun but there can be some very wet days, so take wet weather clothing %26amp;/or an umbrella.

And then there%26#39;s the occasional mistral, when it can get very windy and quite cold sometimes for a few days at a time...

But I%26#39;ve been in that area in October when it has been wonderfully warm and sunny. It can be either way. Hopefully the sun will shine on you...

Do try to get west of Aix into Provence proper. Avignon, Arles, Nimes and the Pont du Gard are all very much worth seeing. I am very fond of the St. Remy/ Maussane/Fontvieille/Les Baux area. There%26#39;s a range of hills called the Alpilles that is lovely, and very good local wines and fabulous olive oil also. Lots of good places to eat too...

Have a great trip!
