Has anyone stayed at what used to be named Paris Vendome Plaza hotel since it was taken over by Marriott? If so, any comments would be appreciated.

Not yet, but I%26#39;m booked for seven nights in May, and just found out by chance that the sale had gone thru on 4/5/05. I have not seen anything in the Hotel%26#39;s Web page that indicates this change, but you can actually book it thru the Marriott Webb page already. I am quite concerned because I don%26#39;t know to what extent is Marriott going to change the way the Hotel operates as well as making changes to the management staff. So far, and based on the Trip Advisor%26#39;s reviews the record is impecable, but now it is up to us to find out if this change is positive, or will temporarily disrupt the up to now smooth operation. Lets hope Marriott will not mess up this little jewell at least on the short term.

Thanks for your post. I share your concerns about the change in management. I%26#39;ve actually booked the first week in July using Marriott points. Everything that I%26#39;ve read about the hotel has been positive, and the pictures of the property look awesome!

We have decided to stay there anyways and hope for the best. I will post my experiences when we return on 5/21.
