I need information about buying wine in Paris and then shipping it back to the United States. Any suggestions or helpful hints? I have always just brought back a couple of bottles with my other %26quot;goodies%26quot;, but my cousin wants to buy quite a few bottles.
Next question: Has anyone visited the apple-cidre farm/orchard in Giverny? Can you buy bottles and ship them home from their place of business?
How much postage (euros) is required to send a postcard from Paris to the US of A?

90 centimes for a postcard just less than a euro a regular letter in the same price under a certain weight .
You will have difficulty shipping wine home, not legal to some states I think you would have better luck with taking it back as part of your luggage safely packed of course. Your duty is minimal, often even let go, as long as you are honest and up front with your Customs people.
No idea about the Giverny apple orchard sorry

You can send an e-mail to the orchard at

There is at least one cidre mill just outside of Giverney...we bought a few bottles, but it was just decent, not like the stuff we get in the Pays d%26#39;Auge, or even at our local Monoprix.
You can, believe it our not, fit an entire case of wine into two suitcases. for shipping any more than that you have some serious concerns, ie duty and temp. controlled storage for the trip over.
