Is the Musee de L%26#39;Orangerie open yet? Leaving for Paris in one week and have always wanted to visit this exhibit. If not, as
many of you from this wonderful forum has suggested, we will go to the Musee Marmottan.

Nope, and won%26#39;t be for the foreseeable future.... something to do with preserving some artifacts they came across in the construction...
Marmottan is very nice, and situated toward the back of a lovely park... If your Paris maps don%26#39;t extend far enough to show the location (it%26#39;s quite a bit west), then use www.mappy.com to get a map to follow from the metro stop (La Muette).

A wonderful museum. The metro stop drops
you off about 4 blocks away.
You might also enjoy the Cluny Museum in
the Latin Quarter (5th).
