Looking for a Hotel for a Group of About 12-15

We have a group flying over to Paris next February and we are looking for a nice 2-3 star hotel that can host us. We prefer something in the 5th or 6th and a place that has a meeting room where all of us could get together for cocktails or for short meetings.

I already checked out some of the smaller hotels like Hotel du College de France and Hotel St. Pierre and they weren%26#39;t too comfortable with accomodating groups.

Any suggestions?

I suggest you reserving a chain hotel for group;remember that is hard to find a 3star hotel with meeting room in these areas. Check out this website for many hotels in Paris: www.accorhotels.com

I agree it will be easier to find a hotel with - A. enough rooms B. a meeting room - if you stick to the chains.

Most independent Paris hotels are quite small, 18-30 room total, with a breakfast room (4-6 tables) - sometimes breakfast is also the %26#39;lobby%26#39;. They aren%26#39;t going to want to commit ALL of their rooms to one group, taking the chance that the group will change plans or cancel %26#39;en masse%26#39;.

The website above (Accor.com) is the parent for several levels of hotels, ie. Mercure, Ibis, etc - similar to Choicehotels.com, which covers Quality, Comfort, etc.

The most likely option would be the Hiltons/Marriotts, which are very large and are set up for business travelers, thus ensuring a meeting room. By the way, you%26#39;d best ask in advance if you can use the meeting room for %26#39;cocktails%26#39; - you might have to reserve it (and pay for it).

I%26#39;ll try to remember this inquiry if I come across any other hotels with a meeting room that might be more amenable to guests%26#39; casual use - I know I have seen a few hotels online that have rooms, just can%26#39;t think of them right now!

Try these - any of them should be acceptable, but you can check reviews here on TA, of course.

NOTE: you might find 2-3 hotels very near each other,

and split your group up in order to get everyone a room
