Foire St Germain

For the last few centuries or so there has been a faire in the St Germain area, currently being held around the Place St Sulpice. This weekend was the Math salon.... sounds boring but we spent most of the day there.

Tomorrow begins the contemp. art salon and on the 10th the Antiquaires arrive for a ten day stay, to be followed by the poets, booksellers and potters.

This coming weekend, on the 10th, 11th and 13th there is a free outdoor Comedie della Arte performance in front of the church...performance begins at 21h and you don%26#39;t really need much French to appreciate these spectacular shows.

Phread, that sounds like fun. Do you happen to know what%26#39;s going on at the foire during the time I%26#39;m there -- June 22 to 28?

The 23rd there is a concert at 8pm with Camille Bazbaz, a performance on the 25 called %26quot;Les presqu%26#39;��les...%26quot; and it will be the Poetry Faire throughout your visit.

just what is a Math Salon? Is salon the same thing as a faire? Do people really come out to have fun with MATH??? (finding this hard to comprehend!! TEEHEE!)
