Shore excursions to Paris

Are there any local tours that go to Paris where time but number of sites to see are an issue? I found a good one at Mini-bus Tours%26#39; website but was wondering if there are others. Is hiring a driver/car a good option? Thanks!!

Okay, Robert, here goes: into le Havre early Sept. 2005 from Harwich, England on Royal Caribbean. In to tethering at le Havre at 0700 and out at 2200. Have always wanted to see Paris but time available is short. There will be anywhere from 2 to 8 individuals going. Thanks!!!

There is a train leaving Le Harve at 07:56, arriving in Paris at St Lazare two hours later. The next scheduled departure isn%26#39;t until 11:08. You should be able to book your roundtrip tickets on-line at the SNCF web site (http://www.sncf.com/indexe.htm).

Day begins at 0700 and ship disembarks at 2200. Is it worth it to spend 5 hours in-transit to and from Paris, leaving 8 or so in Paris? That seems like it%26#39;s still a lot of time for sightseeing. Shore excursions are fine, but you can see and do a lot in Paris in 8 hours and it%26#39;s much more interesting then the Normandy coast. Just book first class, sit back and enjoy the countryside on the way into Paris.

I seem to be having a tough time with that website. It looks as if my dates in Sept. are too far out for a schedule/fare check. Can you give me an idea how much it costs? The Mini-bus Tours website still looks like a possibility.

You can check the rates on the SNCF web site, but you will not be able to make a reservations until a later date, when they start listing the dates of your travel. When I checked, the cost was about 23.50 euros one-way. Make sure you recheck the scheduled departure times.
