KDKSail..a question about the passes you reccommened

we will be in paris for 10 days.

so with that said what metro passes would you reccommend

Specifically...which day of the week will you arrive? and which day of the week will you depart? Do you plan to use the RER for the transfers between CDG and Paris? Do you plan any daytrips outside of Paris via RER (Versailles, Disneyland Paris, etc)? With a ten(10) day itinerary, your best bet for at least one week, from First Train Monday AM-thru-Last Train Sunday PM will be in the mix. Whether that will need to be for Zones 1-2 or Zones 1-5 will depend on RER travel outside of the Paris city limits.

KDKSAIL,

I%26#39;m going to bum a ride on this thread as well- wish travel in Paris were that simple! I%26#39;ll be using the RER for travel from CDG to the city, as well as to Versailles and possibly Giverny. Will also want to use the metro and buses. My only problem is that I%26#39;ll be there Thursday to Wednesday so the CO isn%26#39;t an option. I know about the carnets, but what does the Visite pass cover? Also, I hear there%26#39;s a ticket you can buy at the train station that includes both the ride to Versailles as well as the entrance fee. Are you familiar with this? Does it cover everything in Versailles and does it include the round trip fare and, if so, for how much? Actually, is there a pass that covers all travel and museum visits all together- is that what a Visite pass is? Thanks, garyfdny, for letting me tag along on this! Thought this info would be good for you as well.
