I will be coming to Paris July 22 for a month. A friend living in France suggested trading dollars for euros in advance. Have been watching the decline of the euro since France and then Holland voted against the constitution. Anyone want to hazard a guess as to when the decline will stop?

If any of us knew the answer to that question, we would have retired to live in luxury in the place of our choice long ago.
But the real answer is, as has been said many times on this forum, that you are better off using your bank ATM card to withdraw cash in Euros from your checking account while in Paris. And use credit cards for as many of your expenses as possible. With the small commission and fees you willl be charged you will get the best exchange rate available this way.
Do remember to inform your bank and credit card issuer(s) that you will be in France for an extended period, or they may block your cards because of the unusual activity.
