I am a student that will be spending the summer in Strasbourg. I was wondering that if there are any cheap bars or certain bars with specials that I should pay attention to. Thank you for your time.

I spent a year in Strasbourg as a student in 98/99. Quai de Bieres is pretty cheap and was our favourite haunt. Les Trois Brasseurs brew their own beer (blanc, blonde, ambree and brune) which they serve in huge glasses and you can also get cheap tartes flambees to go with it (local speciality). For a cheap day out go to the Kronenbourg brewery - you get a guided tour and then free drinks in the bar afterwards.
