How far is chamonix from paris. Which is the best way to reach there ..any website recommnded by you. Have you been and how is it in the summer and for how long would you stay there.

It%26#39;s gotta be one of the prettiest train trips I%26#39;ve taken in France. It%26#39;s just south of Geneva so it%26#39;s probably 4-5 hours including the change at Saint-Gervais-Les Bains le Fayet. The SNCF (French railway) website has an English language option at the bottom of the window. It%26#39;s very easy to find the train and the ticket price.

I have went to chamonix fourm, there were only few quest. And my request was not listed ;)

If you put just the word Chamonix in the forum search function on this page, and search in the Paris forum, you should find a wealth of info, much of which specifically addresses your questions. If you change the option to %26quot;search in all forums%26quot; you will find even more posts with even more info.
