Paris Hotel: Hilton or Mecure Suffren ?

Can anyone make a comparison or recommendation between the Paris Hilton or Mecure Tour Eiffel Suffren?

To begin with, the Paris Hilton is a 4 star hotel and the Mercure Suffren is a 3star. The rooms at the Hilton tend to be larger and more well-appointed and there is a better restaurant and more facilities. Also, most of Hilton%26#39;s rooms(most of the executive, all the deluxe and suites) overlook the Eiffel Tower. The opinions about Hilton vary from good to bad as it has been said that is not recently refurbished. The review for the mercure are ok. Both of them there are not the best choices for their category and they do not have the %26#39;character%26#39; and the Parisian %26#39;feeling%26#39;%26#39;.If you want a view of the Eiffel Tower there are some hotels overlookin the Tuilleries(sp?) gardens that have majestic vies over Paris and the Eiffel Tower.Check out these websites for other Hotels:

We are currently staying at the Hilton in Paris, in Hilton Honours room. it does not face the Eiffel Tower as mentioned, , there are a lot of room that don%26#39;t face it. The room is clean, updated and very, very nice. It does not have the Parisian feeling to it, feels very American which is no fun for me as I did not fly all this distance to be in an American hotel, however my family are very happy as they have 30 tv channels and room service. And, hi speed internet connection!

It is quite close to the Metro, the hotel is a good choice if this is the experience you are looking for in Paris. I think its a good choice. Bonne chance

It is difficult to compare hotels... but does anyone know differences between Mercure Tour Eiffel and Mercure Tour Eiffel Suffren?

Suffren is evidently 3-star, the othe 4-star. They seem to be close to each other. Both have pretty good TA reviews.

Actually, the only difference between the 2 hotels is the nighbourhood. The Mercure Tour Eiffel is located in a more lively neighbourhood with more shops and restaurants than the Suffren; it%26#39;s a smaller establishment but they have the same style, so there is no parisian feeling and character either. So it mostly depends on the location. The mercure Tour Eiffel does not have a restaurant and the breakfast is cheaper(17 euros)
